HALLOWEEN HOTTIE


This tutorial was written for those that have a working knowledge of PSP.

SUPPLIES NEEDED

PSP X2 (Any version will work)

TUBE OF CHOICE

I use artwork by Ismael Rac you can get a licence HERE

Mirella's Halloween Template5 and you can get it HERE

Spider from one of those halloween scrapkits that came with Rac's Halloween pack

2yv5vrq Mask by Paci and you can get it HERE

Haunted House images supplied and you can get them HERE

Xenofex 2 Consteallation

I used BankGothic Lt font

 

Open the template & 750 x 700 canvas size image

Delete the credits layer and we will resize it later

Flood fill the rest of the background layer with white

Click on the Oval layer and go to Adjust - Brightness and Contrast and apply with the settings of Brightness -255 and Contrast 0. Select all, float, defloat and Invert, copy and paste the haunted house image as a new layer and hit delete then select none and change the blend mode to luminance (l).

Click on the Oval Dotted Border layer, add a new layer and flood fill it with #fb6c0c and go back on the dotted border layer, select all, float, defloat and invert back on the flood fill layer and hit delete. Select none and apply dropshadow with these settings V & H both on 0, Opacity 30 and Blur 3.00.

Click on the Bottom Rectangle layer and apply Brightness and Contrast as we did before. Select all, float, defloat, Modify - Expand 4 and add a new layer, flood fill it with #fb6c0c and select none, go to Adjust - Add Noise and apply with the settings of Uniform, 50% and Monochrome checked. Move it under the rectangle layer and go to Effects - Eye Candy 4000 and apply the Medium settings on 3.00 and colour black but a bit thicker then apply dropshadow with settings of V & H both on 1, Opacity 40 and Blur 4.00. Repeat this with the other rectangle.

Open the pumpkin tube from Rac's Pumpkin Girl or a pumpkin tube of your choice, copy & paste as a new layer and go to Effects - Muras Meister - Copies and apply with *Line setting by default then go to Effects - Xenofex 2 - Consteallation and apply with these settings shown below. Move it onto the black rectangle, on the black rectangle select all, float, defloat, invert and back on the pumpkins hit delete and lower the opacity to 50. Duplicate and move it to the other black rectangle layer.

Back on the big rectangle layer, select all, float, defloat, modify - expand 2 and add a new layer flood fill it with #fb6c0c and apply noise, gradient glow and dropshadow with the same settings.

Click on the Frame Fill layer, apply Brightness and Contrast same as before. Select all, float, defloat and copy & paste the haunted house image as a new layer then invert and hit delete then change the blend mode to luminance (l). Click on the Frame Fill layer and change the blend mode to soft light.

Grab your text tool, type in HALLOWEEN HOTTIE then apply, go to Objects - Align - Centre in Canvas and convert it to raster layer. Go to Effects - Muras Meister - Copies and apply with the Tiling setting and move the Gap to 2. Click on the Frame Fill layer, select all, float, defloat and invert then back on the text and hit delete.

Click on the frame layer, add a new layer and flood fill it with #fb6c0c then back on the frame layer, select all, float, defloat and invert. Back on the fill layer and hit delete then apply noise and gradient glow with same settings, apply dropshadow with the settings of V & H both on 1, Opacity 40 and Blur 10.89.

Click on Small Top Rectangle layer and apply Brightness and Contrast same as before then apply dropshadow with settings of V & H both on 1, Opacity 40 and Blur 4.00.

Click on the wordart, add a new layer and flood fill it with #dc2825. Back on the wordart layer, select all, float, defloat and invert then hit delete and apply noise with the same settings.

Click on Halloween layer, add a new layer and flood fill it with #fb6c0c. Back on the Halloween layer, select all, float, defloat, invert and back on the fill layer & hit delete. Apply noise and dropshadow with the same settings. Repeat this with HOTTIE layer.

Click on Small Bottom Rectangle layer, apply brightness and Contrast. Click on Border Small Bottom layer, add a new layer flood fill it with #fb6c0c and apply noise, gradient glow and dropshadow with the same settings as before.

Click on the Dotted Line, add a new layer and flood fill it with #fb6c0c. Delete the original dotted line layer, I deleted a couple of dotted line layers that were on the pumpkins.

Copy & paste the spider as a new layer and resize it at 50% smartsize. Apply dropshadow with the settings of V & H both on 1, Opacity 40, Blur 10.00 and white color.

On the bottom layer, flood fill it with black and apply Consteallation same as before. Move it to the right, duplicate it then mirror and flip.

Grab your text tool, I used BankGothic LT font then select all, float, defloat and Modify - Expand 2 add a new layer and flood fill it with #fb6c0c then apply noise then move it under the text and back on the text and merge down. Apply gradient glow same as before then apply dropshadow with settings of V & H both on 1, Opacity 40 and Blur 4.00.

Copy & paste the tube as a new layer and apply dropshadow with the same settings but change the colour to black. Copy & paste the pumpkin and place it under the tube where her hand is resting on top of it.

On the bottom layer, flood fill it with black and apply the mask.

Add your text and copyright info. Resize, crop it and save it as .jpeg or .png image.
